Our
College Crest

“ All in one” assembled with a hope for a bright future in all respects is the most enlightened feature of Our Crest.

Science for progress and change, industry for development towards a constructive future and the book with a lamp signifying the light for knowledge are all cocooned in the circle. The earthen vase is the symbolic design of“ The Urn of Knowledge” and the artistic brushing touch betokens the store house of art that our district “Kalahandi” represents. The centralization of the book with a glowing lamp signifies knowledge as the centre of all round progress.

Principal’s Message

Established in 1981 Kesinga Mahavidyalaya is one of the oldest Higher Educational institutions of Kalahandi and being the Principal of this four decade old college is certainly a matter of pride. Even though a long time has passed since the inception of this college, we still have to go on a long way and I seek hearty cooperation of one and all in this regard. As an educational institution we believe in the all round progress of our students and therefore we stress on imparting quality education and providing platform to exhibit their talent and making them to excel in the field of their choice. We all have to work hard to make our students’ dreams come true.

Our College History

Kesinga is the gate way of Kalahandi.Kalahandi means a pot of Art and it has its marked place in the folklore, myth, legends and history of Odisha. The inhabitants of this place indulge in the beauty of pristine nature and take with equanimity the wrath of nature as well. Living in close proximity with nature they are a part of it and live and breathe nature.

Man can be destroyed but not defeated. So the journey of man from ignorance to knowledge, darkness to light is always an upward and constant march. The pulls of life and the thirst for knowledge makes a man disgruntled always for which he suffers from a divine discontentment and pines for the unattainable.
